been working creating and coordinating and giving small
grants to PACs for as many area parks as possible. Please
contact us with questions about a PAC for your park.
We also work for great suites of programs and workdays*.
HPKCC and the committee have been members of and contributors
to the Neighborhood Enhancement Grants Program.
Recednt winners include Bixler, Cornell Playlot, Elm,
and Nichols parks.
Our committee is active in environmental
action and advocacy and is following up our heritage
in seeking Recycling Reform and Great Lakes and shoreline
resiliency and safety.
Our parks range from vest pocket to neighborhood
parks (some with regional attractions) to the big regional
parks that surround Hyde Park on three sides. A few
have active councils. Their schedules are found in PAC
Meeting Schedules (check often as schedules
change). The Conference is the fiscal agent and provides
support services for and has special ties to and serves
as fiscl agent for for Nichols Park and Bixler
Park.
