Chair: This program is looking for a chair and active members who perhaps will expand the focus back to a broad set of housing and housing occupants during what seems to be ongoing and recurrent crisis for our residents and neighborhoods across income and race spectra.

In recent decades, the Condos/Co-ops Committee of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community Conference provided information through classes, forums, lectures, discussion, the website, and the Conference Reporter, regarding the law, insurance, and other matters relevant to owners of these dwellings. The committee maintained a set of association Board Members Guides on Insurance, Collection of Assessments, Guide to a one-hour meeting, Rules and Regulations, as well as "100 most commonly asked questions." These quote extensively from and comment on the Illinois Condominium Act.

The committee's main focus was professional informational forums. We also engaged with public officials on changing rules for assessment and exemptions and proposed fire and safety mandates for buildings.
