HPKCC is an independent community organization, connecting people in a diverse, green and safe community. We convene individuals and groups to network, and build community around multigenerational activities, community resources, and major issues that affect our future.

PARTICIPATE IN THE CENSUS! SO MUCH FUNDING, AND REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS DEPEND ON A FULL COUNT.

Due to concern for our citizens, the ANNUAL SPRING GARDEN FAIR IN MAY 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. hydeparkgardenfair.org. The mum and bulb sale is in September.
The committee is meeting virtually and has a proposal to consider.

FROM THE 4TH ON 53RD COMMITTEE (which operates undfer Nichols Park Advisory Council, of which HPKCC is fiscal agent:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 4th on 53rd Parade and Picnic cannot be safely held in its usual form.
Our organizing committee is working to create an alternative event that will be safe and compatible with public health and safety protocols.
Please stay safe and we will keep you posted as we move toward bringing our community closer together -- even as we are temporarily apart!

HYDE PARK USED BOOK SALE. For Details click Hyde Park Used Book Sale in Programs. DECISION HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE AS TO WHETHER THIS SALE CAN BE SAFELY HELD THIS YEAR. Reach us with questions at booksale@hydepark.org. The Sale is in the second weekend in October. Book collection starts mid August. Special thanks to Hyde Park Bank, a branch of Beverly Bank, and to Whole Foods for storage banana boxes. and to Hyde Park Shopping Center. A MOST SUCCESSFUL 2019 SALE.

FRIENDS OF BLACKSTONE LIBRARY holds an annual used book sale each April. Join us in 2021.

HPKCC board meets 1st Thursdays 7 pm. Polsky Center, 1452 E. 53rd St. 2nd floor. It is for now virtual. Check back re May 7.

ANNUAL MEETING-HPKCC had a splendid celebration of 70 years on SUNDAY SEPT. 22, 2019 at Hyatt Place HP, with a cake and lots of memories.
